Moran at the organ. (1p) 2. 13 Jan 1846 Printed circular letter from Andrew J Roche, chairman, 'Friends of Education', Cork, noting that in the populous districts of Blarney Lane and Blackpool, numbers of poor children are deprived of education. The Christian Bros. school at Blarney Lane is too small. Subscriptions to be received for developing a new school and dwellings. (2pp) 3. [?c1846-1850] Printed petition letter from William Fagan, John Morrogh, Thomas Lyons, John Gallwey, Edward England, Patrick Riordan, James Hegarty, soliciting subscriptions for a new school for the children of Blarney Lane and Boyces Street. Also list of subscriptions already received. (2pp) 4. 1 March 1850 Printed circular 'Memorial to the Right Worshipful the Mayor and members of the Council of the Borough of Cork. The memorial of John B. Leonard'. Refers to the Christian Brothers schools at Peacock Lane and Sullivans Quay. The resources available are not enough to meet current expenditure in the education of 1400 children, and it is proposed to prepare pupils for the School of Design. (2pp)
