2. ?c1848 Printed description of proposed agricultural school for Munster, from Committee. Refers to meeting at National Cattle show at Corn Exchange and various resolutions made by Sir Thomas Deane, Edmund Burke Roche MP, Lord Bernard MP, Lord Listowel, etc, in connection with proposed school. Describes location for school, buildings, list of noblemen and gentlemen supporting the institution and reference to plan of farm yard (see item 4). (8pp) (2 copies)

3. ?1850s Printed map for proposed lay-out of the Munster Agricultural School and Model Farm. Shows model farm, horticultural ground, Mr.Jenning's farm, Bishopstown stream, botanic garden and aboretum, River Lee, new road from Ballincollig to Cork, Wellington Bridge, Dyke House, Queen's College, etc. (1p) (2 copies) (Oversized)

1. 21 July [1840s] Printed notice of meeting at Royal Cork Institution of committee to promote establishment of a provincial college in Munster. William Clear and DB Bullen, Secretaries. (1p)

2. [?1840-1850] Printed circular letter from committee for the establishment of a college in the South of Ireland, requesting attendance at public meeting to petition legislature to establish a provincial college in Munster. Also refers to need for '...a comprehensive system of National Education...to diffuse practical instruction in the industrial sciences...'. Also, abstract from the report of the select committee of the House of Commons on education in Ireland recommending appointment of a central board of national education and provincial colleges. (2pp) 3. 1850 MS. address from the Munster Provincial College Committee to Sir Robert Kane, President, Queen's College Cork. Outlines efforts of committee over the years and offers their papers and proceedings for deposition in the archives of the Queen's College. Also, notice of meeting for public dinner to Sir Robert Kane, from Mayor's Office, Paradise Place. (4pp)
