Printed handbill or notice 'The Address of the Trades Association and His Excellency's Reply'. Address to Earl of Mulgrave, Lord Lieutenant General and General Governor of Ireland. Expresses happiness on his visit to Cork. The object of the Association is to improve the physical and moral conditions of the destitute mass abounding in Cork city and county by extending the elective franchise, encouraging manufactures and industry, making legal provision for the poor, neutralising the effects of absentee landowners, and the cheap diffusion of knowledge. Refers to perjury and corruption, taxes effecting the press. With text of reply from Mulgrave welcoming the address. Printed by Higgins, Paul Street, Cork. (Oversized)
