Printed calendar of prisoners for trial at Spring and Summeer Assizes, 1845, Borough of Cork Gaol. Also calendar of prisoners for trial at sessions under former rules and summary convictions. James Morrogh Esq High Sheriff, Francis D. Murphy Governor. With MS. additions and notes. Assizes record name, age, 'How often in gaol before', 'By whom and when committed', offence, verdict, event of trial etc. Sessions record name, age, by whom and when tried, sentence. Sentences include imprisonment, hard labour, fines, transportation. Also gives total numbers tried before the Recorder and before magistrates.

Solicits aid to allow re-purchase of the estate of Castle Hamilton and restore it to late proprietor RH Southwell Esq. Refers to Southwell's devoted attachment to the liberal cause. (1p)

2. Apr-May 1847 Printed circular from the Tenant League, 'The Bishop of Derry and the Tenant League', with texts of letter from WH Trentwith Hon. Sec., Cork to Dr. Maginn Bishop of Derry (28 Apr 1847), and reply from Maginn (4 May 1847). (2pp)
