29 Aug 1846 Appeal for donations to the bazaar by Cork Ladies Anti-Slavery Society. Refers to '...eloquent, powerful and touching appeals of Frederick Douglass....fresh in your memories'. With list of those taking contributions, including Mrs. Beamish, Mrs Dowden, etc. Description of evils of slavery and slaveholders, including execution of slave girl Pauline for striking her mistress, punishments given, imprisonment of Rev. Torrey for helping a slave escape, threats against William Lloyd Garrison. (2pp) 28 Nov 1847 Sick Poor Society, North Parish, statement of receipts and expenditure of fund for relief of the poor. Thomas Harrington, President, Bartolomew Murphy, Treasurer etc. Also list of christmas donations, and list of weekly subscriptions. (2pp)
