Mate (future Captain) Nathaniel Sutton, son of Captain Nathaniel Sutton (b.1794, Clonakilty), would become Cork Harbour Master in 1883. Mate Robert Twohig was likely to have been a younger brother to future Captains John Twohig (b.1838) and Daniel Twohig (b.1834) and another son of Captain John Twohig (b.1804, Kinsale). His address in 1869 was 9, Union Quay, while Captain John Twohig b.1804 was at 14, Union Quay in 1871 (Cork Almanac) and John Twohig Jun (Captain John Twohig b.1838) had a spirit dealership at 17, Union Quay (Coughlin’s 1867) (see Egmont for further Twohig information). Captain John Twohig (b.1838, Cork) and Captain Robert Sutton (b.1832, Courtmacsherry) were married to two Sexton sisters from Midleton. The Sextons were rope-manufacturers and their brother, John Sexton, moved the business to Cork (near the Firmos, who owned a similar business). He married Catherine Sutton, daughter of Captain William Sutton (b.1814, Clonakilty) on 7 Aug 1864 and Teresa Firmo was a witness at that event. Their daughter, Catherine Sexton, would, in 1894, marry Captain Abraham Sutton (b.1867, Cork), son of Captain Robert Sutton (b.1832, Courtmacsherry). Capt. John Twohig (b.1838, Cork), Capt. Robert George Sutton (b.1832, Courtmacsherry) and Joanna (Hannah Sexton) Sutton (b.1834, Robert’s wife) were witnesses at the marriage of Robert’s brother, Abraham George Sutton (b.1842, Cork), to
