Articles, Brodcasts, Research, and Other Writings by Fawsitt on Industry and Trade

Extent: 9 files

sub-series

Scope and Content: Set of files containing copies of articles, scripts of broadcasts, and research and other writings by Diarmuid Fawsitt and of journals in which they appeared, with some related correspondence and some copies of journals not including articles by Fawsitt. Includes Irish, British, and Australian publications, as well as a series of broadcasts by Fawsitt on the Irish national radio station 2RN on Irish industry. These records generally date from the period after Fawsitt’s dismissal from the Department of Industry and Commerce, as he sought to find other work, to secure income to support himself and his family, and to fund his legal studies and early career as a barrister. They also demonstrate how he continued to apply his knowledge and experience of industry and trade matters to promote Irish industry and its development.
