1. 10 Jun 1844 Edmond McCarthy, 69 South Mall, to Richard Dowden. He is offering himself for office of Law Agent to the Corporation and has spent 20 years involved in Corporation suits, including a case on gateage tolls. (1p) 2. 19 Sep 1844 John Morrogh, President and Edward Barry Secretary of the Liberals, Lee Ward for meeting of liberal party burgesses at Moylans Lane, Lower Shandon Street, for nomination of aldermen and councillors at municipal elections. (1p)

3. 22 Oct 1844 DJ Murphy, librarian, Mechanics Institute, re. job as clerk of the Corporation committees (1p)

4. 26 Jun 1849 William Fitzgibbon, Sidney House, declaring interest in Mayoralty and soliciting a vote (1p)

5. 5 Jul 1849 John Shea, soliciting vote for Mayor of Cork (1p)

6. 26 Nov 1850 From 8 liberal aldermen and councillors, incluing Dowden, Maguire and Lyons, to John Shea Esq., Mayor requesting meeting re. nominations for Mayor. (1p)

7. 15 Nov 1856 D. McCarthy Mahony, North West Ward, soliciting vote for his re-election. (1p)

8. 2 Dec 1856 JW Bourke, 65 South Mall, to burgesses of Cork requesting vote in election as Borough Auditor (1p)
