Printed circular letter, from 'a few friends of the liberal party', concerning the immediate steps necessary for the complete registration of the Irish constituencies. Suggests a general meeting in Dublin. Gives instructions. Reply to be sent to CJ French Esq. 6 Westmoreland Street Dublin. 1. c1829 MS. Petition to the Right Worshipful Thomas Pope Esq. Mayor of the City of Cork from 19 undersigned householders to request a meeting to consider the measure of establishing a police in the city. (1p)

2. 1830 Copy of petition to the Right Worshipful George Knapp, Mayor of the City of Cork, requesting a public meeting of the citizens of Cork, '...for the purpose of expressing their approbation of the last Revolution in France and....ardent gratitude and admiration to the heroic and enlightened patriots who achieved a victory so honourable to Frenchmen and so beneficial not only to their own country, but to all nations which aspire to free institutions'. (Note in pencil 'From Francis Bernard Beamish'). Signed by about 90 people including Herbert Baldwin MD, Richard Dowden, Francis Lyons, Daniel O'Connell MP, James Ludlow Stawell, William Crawford Jnr., John McCarthy, Richard Beamish. (This item refers to the Second French Revolution which saw the overthrow of King Charles 2nd). (2pp)
