1. 14 Sep 1825 MS. letter from T.Crofton Croker, 13 Russell Place, Fitzroy Square, to 'My dear Sir', Richard Dowden. He had a severe illness that prevented him thanking Dowden for his two valuable letters and his kind recollection 'of me and my Fairies'. Thanks also to Mr. Bath and Mr. Kelleher. His printer has sent him the first proof of his second series of 'Fairy Tales'. (1p)

2. 13 Dec 1838 As above, Admiralty, to Richard Dowden, Royal Cork Institution. He addressed Dowden's last note to Maclise at Russell Place. With compliments of approaching Merry season. (1p)

1. nd [c1842] MS. letter from John Dillon Croker, Brown Street, Cork. It was too late to countermand the summaries to the County. Asks him to assemble '...as many members as you can for tomorrow...'. (1p) 2. 26 Jan 1842 As above, Quartertown, Mallow, County Cork, to 'Dear Sir', Richard Dowden. Because of the awful hurricane and rain no public carriages could leave Mallow. He has just summonsed the County Committee for duty on 29 January to meet at the 'Rooms of the Committee of Merchants'. Mentions flooding of the Blackwater. (1p)
