10 June, 1618. Edmond Cleere is admitted to his freedom paying 30s., the rest is re- mitted for some service formerly done by his father to the Corporation. Donogh 0 Murroghe, gaoler, is admitted to his freedom paying 3 pounds, whereof 20s. is to be remitted for some service formerly done by him. James Gallwey fz. Edward, a councillor, is admitted to his freedom pay- ing 20s. 19th June, 1618. · James Mathewe fitz James is admitted to his freedom paying 30s. Francis Carrull is admitted to his freedom paying 30s., which is allowed unto his master, Edmond Morogh, for a debt which the Court oweth him. Henrie Morogh fz. Edmond is admitted to his freedom, paying 13s. 4d., which is likewise allowed to said Edmond, part payment for a debt due upon the Corporation. James Roch fz. William, a mayor's son, is admitted to his freedom pay- ing lOs. Edmond Roch fz. David is admitted to his freedom paying 26s. 8d. Valentyne Harding is admitted to his freedom paying but 5 nobles, for that his mother was a native of this city, and her father and ancestors were free of this city, and that his master, Dominick Water, did under- take that said Valentine shall marry in this City, or if he marry abroad he is to bring his wife to dwell in this city, upon the pain limited in the bye- law. 13 July, 1618. Maurice Roch fz. John, a councillor's son, is admitted to his freedom, and the fees are allowe~ to his father on a ticket of 20s. due to him upon the corporation in the time of the mayoralty of Mr. Edmond Tirrie fz. David. 24 July, 1618. Henry Roberts is admitted to his freedom in regard that he long dwelled here and lived quiet in the City, and that shall for same pay 10 pounds, in manner following, · viz., 40s. in hand, 20s. at Michaelmas next, and 7 pounds on demand. This 7li. was for very good considerations remitted him. 27 July, 1618. As the Corporation are to employ instantly an Agent for the Court of
