740 26 May 1939 Letters sent to CHC and the Minister for Industry and Commerce from [ ] London House, London concerning the lack of a wireless Telegraph and Radar Station in Eire for communication with ships in the Irish Sea. 2 items 741 17 June 1939 Invitation to Fitzgerald as Chairman CHC to a Garden Party at Aras an Uachtaran. 1 item 742 30 August 1939 Copy letter from Fitzgerald to E. Gayer, discussing the movement of supplies and ships in the event of war and the bypassing of the Port of Cork. 2pp 743 6 September 1939 Copy of minutes of a meeting of CHC. 8pp 744 15 September 1939 Copy letter from Fitzgerald to S. Leydon, Secretary Department of supplies discussing the possibility if acquiring the cargo of two oil tankers in Cork Harbour. He suggests using the vessels themselves as cheap storage by offering them anchor for the duration of the war.
