B609/3/D/1a Barley Stock Book, 1947-74. Volume detailing names and addresses of suppliers, quantities supplied, and costs. The names of agents are noted in some cases.
B609/3/D/2 Sundry Accounts Book, 1903-17. Mainly relates to sales of seed barley. Noted are date, customer details, quantity, and whether paid in cash. Amounts paid are not recorded. Other accounts covered include Barley Receipts, Deliveries, and Despatches of Dry and Wet Maize.
B609/3/D/3 Sundry Account Book, 1962-70. Mainly sundry debtors and creditors accounts, with some officer accounts.
B609/3/D/4 AGS Account Book, 1904-46. Financial records regarding costs of making supplies to AGS, e.g., expenses, insurances, sack hire, transport, etc; perhaps to be recouped from AGS, partly or wholly, at year-end. Many JHB invoices to AGS present.
B609/3/D/5 Depreciation Account Book, 1928-76. Record of depreciation of plant and machinery in malt houses, farm buildings, and dwellings.
B609/3/D/6 Bank Balance Book, 1930-51. A record of bank balances on a roughly annual basis. Includes pages of reconciliations of account details, and double entry pages giving the balance for each account on a given date. Accounts include John H Bennett’s Account, Charges, Loans, various Barley Accounts, Salaries, Dividends, Boards of Health and Public Assistance, and local companies and organisations.

B609/3/D/8 Cash Receipts Book, March 1944 to September 1946. This and subsequent books note date, description, and the head or account under which cash was received. Headings include AGS, Charges, Farm, Insurance, Sand, Rents, Cereal, Personal, Barley Accounts, Totals, and Amounts Lodged.
