Captain Hugh Pollack (b.1793, Belfast) also sailed on Ring Mahon Castle. Captain Thomas Cooper Clarke (b.1808, Cork) has service dates that vary between Lloyd’s and UK M&M; the latter dates are listed here (see Try Again for further information on this Captain Clarke).
Apprentice John Mills (b.1814, Cork) would captain Hargrave’s C hamplain 1836 – 9 and later the barque Bridgetown 1848 – 50.

Captain Patrick Murphy was the Captain P Murphy in Lloyd’s, which incorrectly documented a prolonged captaincy here, since IMNCL reports document him as master on multiple Sutton vessels during that period, before purchasing Petrel from Abraham Sutton in 1878 and continuing to captain that vessel until 1891. Captain Gerald L Walsh was identified as captain in IMNCL reports, 1878 – 80 and was recorded by the 1881 England Census on the ship Eagle lying in Sutton Harbour, Plymouth. Sutton Harbour, formerly known as Sutton Pool, is the original port for the City of Plymouth In Devon, England, probably going back to Anglo-Saxon times so therefore not connected to the Suttons of this research.
