Fate of ship:

The last captain listed, Captain William Shea, stated that the Charles foundered at sea in 1869. Relevant to this event was the demise of the Mary Macklin , which also foundered. This was one of the Suttons’ larger vessels. Captain William Sutton and Mate (future Captain) Robert Sutton were father and son on this Sutton ship.
