Captain David Davies (b.1807) previously captained the Alert . Captain William Lewis (b.1793, Pembroke) was master of several Cork ships 1835 – 60. Captain Timothy McCarthy previously captained Harry King and Anne . Lloyd’s Captain J Atridge’s dates do not correlate with the sea papers of James Attridge (b.1805) in Castletownsend (see Abeona ).

CLIP documents this Cork brigantine (Reg: 13175) from 1858 onward. Her tonnage was variously documented as 127t, 107t and 112t by varied sources and at different times (CLIP; IMNCL). Patrick Gorman’s ships sailing out of Youghal in the second half of the nineteenth century also included Anderida and Perfect.
