Wrecked in Ramsey Sound on voyage from Clonakilty to Bristol, 5 February 1840. Her crew were rescued (List of Shipwrecks - Wiki). Listed as one of several Clonakilty-built Murray ships in the nineteenth century. Captain T Murray belongs to an earlier generation of Clonakilty mariners of whom I have little information. The next generation included Captains Thomas Murray (b.1828 Clonakilty), Timothy Murray (b.1830, Clonakilty) and Denis Murray (b.1831, Clonakilty).

Additional information:

Apprentice Maurice Neill would first captain Ocean of Cork 1845-6 and obtain his Master Certificate in 1850.
