1837 Robert Clark b.1814 (Bristol)#3830 1838 – 9 John Sedgwick Savery b.1817 (Cork) 1830 Benjamin Matson b.1816 (Cork)

Apprentice: Fate of ship:

Unknown.

Additional information:

This ship was a St John, New Brunswick trader in the 1840s.

Captain Dunbar previously sailed on six Kinsale vessels between 1806 and 1828. The dates he submitted here for his captaincy differ from Lloyd’s (not uncommon). Next Captain Feneran would be master of the Lord Sandon of Cork. His BT112 record also documents the movement of Hibernia from port to port, resulting in the vessel acquiring five different Port of Cork registration numbers (Preface: Official Number discussion).

Seaman/Mate John Sedgwick Savery would captain Zorilda and Lauriston in trade with Cape of Good Hope and Vera Cruz.
