This ship carried out coastal trade on a route between Clonakilty, the Bristol Channel and Cork.

Captain Denis Farasy obtained a Mate Certificate in 1857 and previously captained Sutton ships ( Active , Garland).

Mate Patrick Collins is likely to be the same Mate Patrick Collins (b.1832, Kinsale) previously on Old Head.

There were many Collins and Donovan mariners to be found from Kinsale during the nineteenth century.

An emigrant ship during the Famine. Arrival at St John, New Brunswick, 11 June1847. This brigantine was fifty-three days out from Kinsale with sixty passengers under Captain Leonard. All passengers were well on arrival (Appendix: Emigrant Ships). This ship sunk with a cargo of coal from Newport to Cork and loss of all five crew on 5 Jan 1867 near Ballycotton (Bourke), while IMNCL reported her loss with all hands, 17 Jan 1867.
