Sub-Terms and Page Number Resolution forwarded from Queen’s County objecting to State control over the brewing and distilling industries. They declare that the proposal to reduce the gravity strength of Irish made stout was made in the interests of English brewers and to destroy the quality of a world renowned Irish article, 29/6/1917, page 540. A resolution from the Dingle Licensed Vintners’ Association, calling on the Food Controller to make provision to continue the increased output of beer over the quarter ending the 31st December, 1917, owing to the probable famine in milk and foodstuffs during the approaching Winter, as such increase, if availed of by workingmen, generally, would relieve the scarcity of milk, was submitted for adoption and was rejected, 9/11/1917, page 600. Midleton Urban District Council protested against the closure of
the local Distilleries in the interest of England and Scotch Patent Whiskey leading to loss of employment for 100 men in exceptionally hard times, 11/1/1918, page 626
