There is perhaps some error in this Admission, if Lord Milton be (as there can be little doubt) the present (1846) Earl FitzWilliam, and the only Son of the Lord Lieut. who was at the time (24 th January 1795) of his Admission as a Freeman, scarcely Nine Years of Age, having been born 4 th May 1786, and it appears rather strange that he have been Principal Secretary or Admitted a Freeman during his Minority
