Merchant’s Letter, 1789. Copy letter from a representative of the Murphy family (later founders of a brewery and distillery) to Charles John Warner in St. Vincent’s in the Caribbean. The letter shows the Cork merchant’s awareness of commercial opportunities available in the sugar trade given the ‘Present Revolution’ in France.
