Munster Arcade, Department Store, c.1900 The Munster Arcade was one of the principal department stores in Cork. Based on St. Patrick’s Street, it traded until the 1970s. This photograph shows the premises which were one of many subsequently destroyed during the burning of Cork in 1920. On the upper floors of the right-hand building can be seen the initials and names of Robertson, Ledlie, Ferguson and Company, proprietors of the Munster Arcade.
