(5 Aug 1837) Subscriptions to certain newspapers and periodicals to be discontinued by order of Committee, including Morning Herald, Observer, Literary Gazette, Freemans Journal, etc.
(9 Sep 1837) Accounts for staff/servants include amounts for : Stewards, cooks, clerks, 1st waiter, 2nd waiter, hall porters, pantry boy, house maid, 2nd house maid, kitchen maid.
(7 Jul 1838) Accounts include Ford for beef and mutton, Brown for veal, Lundy for groceries, Abbott for ale, Russell for bread, Tompkins for liquors, Moore for soda. Other amounts for rent, City Rates, illumination lamps, porter livery, working suit for messenger, etc. (2 Jul 1839) Committee recommends that any Member may invite a friend for dinner in the Committee Room only provided he be not resident or possessed of any property in the country. (9 Nov 1839) Committee consider the recent practice of admitting naval and military officers for periods of less than 6 months to be highly detrimental to the respectability and interest of the Club.
