Level: Extent: 1017pp [many gaps] Scope and Content: The volume records rebates granted in respect of volumes of goods moved for commercial customers. At the top of each page is noted the company name and address. Entries for all or part of the period 1935-38 for each company are grouped together. A table on each page has a field recording the date, followed by fields for the following ports: Liverpool, Bristol, Fishguard, London, Southampton, and Manchester. Underneath each is a sub- field for recording quantities in ‘Firkins, T, C, Q, lbs’ [tonnes, hundredweights, q uarts, pounds]. Periodically totals are added and marked as ‘passed’ for that period, the total being multiplied by a fixed rate [often three shillings]. In some cases, rebates are recorded alongside individual entries. Customers include Allensbridge Co-Op Creamery Ltd, Dairy Disposal Company, James J Murphy and Son, Beamish and Crawford, Cork
