The Ireland and England Traffic Conference was a committee of representatives of interested parties charged ‘to consider the system of dealing with Irish Provision Traffic consigned to Sender’s order, to Stations in England’. The committee met under this name until 31 July 1874, when it was proposed that a distinct South of Ireland Conference be formed. These bodies were succeeded, in the Irish Free State, by the Irish Railway Clearing House. The Company also had direct dealings with the Great Southern and Western Railway companies.
