Other undated promotional material and Company forms are placed after this, including accommodation plans of SS ‘Kenmare’ and SS ‘Lairdshill’. Finally, there are news cuttings, 1948-66, regarding, eg, withdrawal of SS Kenmare from service (1956), refloating of Hadrian Coast in Cork Harbour (1962), and first visit of MV Meath cattle ship to Cork (1966).

Scrapbook containing copies of Company advertisements, notices, and posters, in newspapers, brochures, and small posters and handbills. Many are concerned with travel to sporting events, such as the FA Cup Final, Ireland-England rugby internationals, and the Grand National, while many others refer to tourist trips, excursions, and cruises, and regular services. In the 1930s, many of the items refer to ‘daylight’ and excursion cruises to Glengarriff and other lo cations, usually on bank holidays.

Album containing British and Irish Steam Packet Company press advertisements and notices, and promotional material, mainly regarding Dublin to Liverpool services, 1933-35. Includes cuttings of newspaper notices, with names of newspapers in which they appeared and on what dated noted underneath. The first notice present, July 1933, refers to the resumption of services after a labour dispute. Also present is a car badge offered by the Company as a mark of one’s visit to the Irish Free State. There are also advertisements referring to the film ‘Man of Arran’, and the Dublin Horse Show.
