The ‘vendor companies’ are the British & Irish Steam Packet Company, the Belfast Steamship Company, and the City of Cork Steam Packet Company. They agree to sell the 1,800,000 preference shares of Coast Lines Ltd owned by them (190,000 share owned by the Cork Company). It is recited, inter alia, that Coast Lines owns the whole of the ordinary shares of B. & I., and that the Cork Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of B. & I. The file contains a copy of the agreement and related correspondence.
