Arr. 4 Aug. 33 deaths during voyage and 56 after arrival. – of Liverpool sailed for Quebec from Cork 4 Jun with 437 passengers. Arrived at Grosse Île 11 Jul with 45 sick, 36 dead. Add 40 dd on G.I. + 7 on ship, quarantined for 13 d. – of Liverpool sailed for Quebec from Cork 17 Jun with 389 emigrants. Arriving at Grosse Île in early August with 11 cabin, 389 steerage, 80 sick and 43 deaths. Add. 71 dd on GI + 16 dd on ship. Total: 130 died – 240t, built at Marietta Ohio in 1847 and towed to Portsmouth on the Ohio River to take on a cargo of corn which she carried for famine- relief via New Orleans to Cork (Ambler, 1932, 103). Her first season crossing arrived from Bristol 18 May.
