Seaman:

Voyaged to Quebec, St John NB, and Boston Foundered at sea in 1867 on a voyage from Queenstown to Miramichi. Captain Foster stated the crew were rescued and landed at St John’s Newfoundland on 4 July 1867. Captain Thomas Cooper Clarke b.1808 became the master of Try Again in 1849. Seaman, and future captain, Nicholas Reynolds b.1822 married Catherine Sutton, the eldest daughter of Captain George Sutton b.1804 (Clonakilty), the author’s great great grandfather. Urania arrived at Quebec 17 Sep 1842 with only three emigrants prepared to face the chilly winter. Made two Quebec voyages in 1843 season. Cove Ship News, Lloyds, UK M&M, UK Nat Arch BT112
