Captain John Twohig was the master from 1844-55. He came from a family of mariners and Robert Twohig b.1809 (Kinsale) had been a prior captain of this vessel. Here again in 1847 was a very small transatlantic emigrant vessel. Daniel Twohig b.1834 (Cork) was onboard as an apprentice – he lost his Mate Certificate in 1859 in Brazil and earned his Master Certificate in 1865.
