E Cunard was most likely Edward Cunard 1798-1851 of Halifax NS, brother of Samuel Cunard, founder of the Cunard Line of shipping. This was the first captaincy for James Attridge, who would next be master of another Cork emigrant vessel, Eliza Anne, and ultimately be renowned for his excellent record on the emigrant ship, Jeanie Johnston, of Tralee in 1848.
