Henry Deaves documented as Captain of Louisa 29/565 of Cork in Nat Archive BT112 report for 1843, while Cove shipping newspaper reports Louisa to have been a bark. Henry accomplished a voyage from Cork to St John New Brunswick and back in two and a half months in 1843, arriving back on 2 Jul 1843. Previously he was Master of Thomas Hanford in 1835 (BT120) and he would captain John Francis of Cork in 1844. Cove Ship News, Shipslist , UK Nat Arch BT120/112

Voyaged to Quebec and Boston Departed Liverpool for New Orleans with a cargo of salt 14 Jan 1852. Went ashore and totally wrecked on Breton Islands Louisiana. Mate and seven crew saved. Captain Griffith Owens was thought to be lost, when he returned to the wreck in a small boat from the Southwest Pass on 12 March. However, the Scotts received a letter from Owens, dated 20 March, indicating he was safe and in New Orleans.
