ARRIVAL OF A TRANSPORT WITH SICK SOLDIERS.

paid to William Flyn, for printing work from 17 Sep., 1792, to 22 Sep. 1794; It., £1 Ss. S!d. to Capt. Patterson, for his expenses in going to Cove at the - time of the arrival of the Transport with sick soldiers; It., £12 Os. Sd. to. James and Henry Knight, for printing work from 30 June, 1794, to 22 Sep., 1794; It., 13s. to the Mayor, for a Dog-wheel, &c., for the Mansion.House; It., that John Verling be appointed Dep.-Waterbailiff at Cove for one year, finding two securities in the sum of £250 for all fees, &c., to be received by him ; It., that William Cotterell be appointed Dep.-Waterbailiff at Passage, on same conditions as said Verling ; It~, that Verling be paid at the rate of £30, out of the fees received by him and Cotterell at same rate, out of the Fees received by him; It.,_ that £69 7s. 3ld. be paid Geo. Seymour for brass and iron work furnished by him from 28 Aug., 1790, to 16 Sep., 1794; that the estimate of John Turner, for painting the markets, be laid before the C. D. H., and that £20 for one coat, and £30 for two, be paid as may be approved of; It., that the Mayor and She~iffs elect, the C. S. for the time being, Sir John Franklin, Mr. Ald. Shaw and Harris, Mr. Busteed and Lucas, be a committee for examining accounts and directing immediate necessary works. Present--The Mayor, Mayor Elect, Sher. Evanson; Alden. Owgan, Sir J. Hobbs and William Flaherty, for repairing the Main Guard Room, the Blackpool and Shandon Guard Rooms, pursuant to estimate; It., £2 16s. 10!d. to the Mayor, for work done on the ceiling and walls of the kitchen, and passage leading thereto, ceiling and walls of back stair-case and lobbies, whiteing the ceiling and walls of the pantry, sides of the Banquetting Rooms,·the windows repaired and whitened of the 'Mansion House; It., £2 1s. lOd. to the Mayor, fo~ repairing the roof of the Mansion House, upright slating, part of a boarded closet, and repairing the remainder, cleaning spouts, bracing part of them, finding slates, mortar, and ridge tiles; It., £10 to Henry Townsend Daly, for calculating the middle price of wheat and oats, ascertaining the assize 138
