ADMISSION OF FREEME.N.
Present-The Mayor, and Sheriffs; Alden. Lawton, Owgan, Sir J. Franklin, Kent, Crowly; Mr. Izod, Busteed, Evanson, C. S., and Westropp. 5 July, 1793. The Council having met to determine on the proposals for lighting the lamps, and it being represented that an addition of 314lamps will be neces- sary for effectually lighting the City, the Council postponed entering into any contract until a return be made of the places where such additional lamps are thought to be wanting, that they may judge the necessity thereof. That William Ricketts, eldest son of Will. R., mercht., dec.; William Gregg, gent., only son of James G., do. ; John Cotter, mercht., eldest son of William C., cooper; Robert Coote Purdon, Esq., eldest son of Barth. Coote- P., Esq. ; Reyd. Robt. Austen, only son of the late Archdeacon Austen; Samson Towgood Donovan, mercht., having served Henry Sadlier, do. ; Wm. Garde,gent., having served Wm. Colburne, Atty.-at-Law; Patrick Bellew, mercht., having served Robt. Pratt, do.; Sir John Gilman, Knt., for his exertions in assisting to preserve the peace of this City at the time of the late riots; Henry Hickman, mercht., for his exertion in preserving the peace during the late riots; John Hutchinson, carpet manufacturer, for similar exertions; Thomas McCall, mercht.; Patrick Comerford, Esq.; Marcus Lynch, mercht.; James French, mercht., be admitted freemen at large. It., £2 7s. Sd. to Danl. Geary for t•epairing and slating the Milk Markets and Guard House; It., £16 1s. to Messrs. Jones & Co. for printing work; It., £6 6s. 4d. to said Jones for printing requisition to the Sheriffs for a meeting and proceedings thereon; It., £55 4s. 10d. to Wm. Jones, Town Clerk, his account from June, 1792, to do., 1793. That Sir John Haly, Knt.; Jonas Lander, gent.; and Robert Kemp, broad cloth manufacturer, be admitted freemen at large. It., 5 guineas to the Mayor and Mr. Kinselagh, to provide clothes for Thomas Bourke, who attends the Mayor's office. Present-The Mayor, Sher. Foster, Mayor Elect; Alden.
