CITY GUARD-HOUSES SHOULD BE REPAIR~D BY GOVERNMENT.

C. S. for the time being,· Ald. Kingston, Mr. Izod, and Busteed, be a conl- mittee to inspect all accounts until 29 Sep., 1793 ; It., 10 guineas to Wm. Jones, Clk. of this Board, for ten years providing it with pens, ink, and paper, &c. That William Baker, eldest son of William B., of Lismacue, co. Tippe- rary, Esq. ; Thomas Busteed, Jun., eldest son of Thomas B., of Ballinrea, gent.; Revd. Edward Weekes, eldest son of Thomas Weekes, late Register of the Dis. of Corke ; Henry Harding Parker, eldest son of Michrel Parker, . late of Passage, be admitted freemen at large. Ordered, that no printing work be done without an order in writing from the Mayor and Sheriffs, or two of the Committee, or under the hand of the Town Clerk, and that no order be made for payment unless the account be certified by the Mayor and Sheriffs, and such printing accounts be furnished every Quarter, otherwise they will not be attended to ; It., that the Mayor elect provide 7 half-hundreds, 1 quarter of an hundred, 1 fourteen-pound weight, and 2 ten-pound weights, for the use of the Corn Market; It., £5 to the Mayor, rent of the coach-house occupied by him; It., that the Shandon Shambles and Guard House be repaired, also the South Milk Market and Meat Market, and that £6 1 Os. be paid for effecting such repairs ; It., 2 guineas to Thomas White, stationer, for the statutes at large, for use at the Mansion House; It., £9 15s. 4d. to the Mayor, for rates, taxes, and the preservation of the peace of the City. The Corporation about twelve years ago having built a new and very ' commodious Guard House in Tuckey Street, and another at Blackpool, for H the accommodation of the officers and soldiers annually quartered in this /l City, which they ha~e hitherto kept in ~epair, &c., and finding .that all :\ other Guard-houses m Ireland are supphed by Government through the \ ~ Town Major, where there is one. Resolved, that it is the opinion of this l ~ Board, that the Guard Houses of this City should be repaired and supplied j ·' in the same manner the other Guard-houses in this Kingdom are, and that \ t a copy of this resolution, signed by the Clerk, be delivered to the Town \ Major. It., £17 16s. 8d. to the Mayor, for different expenses paid by him. We, the Mayor, &c., do fix as necessary, 32 globe lamps with heads and burners to be erected on S. Patrick's Bridge, and in the street north thereof leading thereto, all in the City and suburbs, to be lighte<l at sunset, and so •
