A LEASE OF DR. DAU~·n's GROU:ND FOR PUBLIC MARKETS.

another parcel of ground to the West of said passage, containing in front to S. Patrick St. 16 feet 8 inches, in depth 34 feet, and in breadth in the rear 14 feet 8 inches, bounded on the north by S. Patrick St., on the East by the said passage, and on the west by other premises belonging to the Cor- poration, with the aforesaid passage and the full benefit thereof as fully as said George and Ann Daunt have power to grant for 280 years, at the yearly rent of £26, which premises were heretofore agreed for by the Mayor, &c., for public markets, and the rent ascertained by a Jury at £26, it is agreed, that the Mayor, &c., shall execute the lease, &c. It., that £159 be paid to said George and Ann Daunt, so much due to them out of several premises; It., that £283 be paid by Cooper Penrose, John Shaw, John Anderson, Andrew White, James Bonwell, Marcus Lynch, and Saml. McCall, Esqrs., to the Mayor, &c., for the purchase of the Corporation interest in the ground whereon Mr. William Keyes's house stood, adjoining the Exchange, and which is now in the hands of the Mayor, &c., to be paid by them to the Commissioners for making wide streets, &c., in the City and suburbs, to"\Yards paying the money awarded by the Jury to Mr. tT ohn Nicolson for the purchase of his interest in his dwelling house in Castle Street; It., £100 to Hans Stewart, Esq., in part discharge of the money due to him, and that one of the Bonds of the Cor- poration in his hands be taken up, and a new Bond passed. It., that the Mayor, Henry Puxley, Esq., and the Sheriffs for the time being, Mr. Crowly, Izod, and Busteed be a committee to confer with that of the C. D. H. upon the Report of the Committee for auditing the Chamberlain's accounts for 1788 and 1789. Present--Mr. Mayor and Sheriffs ; Alden. Webb, Butler, Owgan, Kent, Kellett, Kingston, Sir J. Franklin, Crowly; Mr. Izod, Lawton, and Lane, c. s. 26 Aug., 1791. Francis Carleton, Esq., sworn a member of the Council.
