THANKS TO SIRS. ROWLAND FOR HIS ATTENTION TO THE PETITION.

"Your Petitioners therefore pray, &c., that on reviving the present law they will be pleased to restore to the Mayor, &c., the power of appointing the Weigh Masters. " Resolved, that the Board do approve of the foregoing report, &c. "The Mayor is requested to write to Sir Saml. Rowland, thanking him in the name of this Board for his very great attention to the Petition respect- ing the appointment of Weighmasters, and to be requested to deliver said Petition to our Representatives to be laid by them bef?re Parliament, and to pray to be heard at the Bar of the House of Commons by council if necessary, to apply to the Corporation agent for his assistance, and to know from him what evidence, if any, may be necessary to produce before the House. Kinselagh, for rates for the Mansion House, postage, &c., during the Mayoralty of the late Henry Harding, Esq., Humphry Crowly, Esq., and present Mayor. That Jeremiah Morgan, Mercht., having served Isaac Morgan; James Daltera, jun., gent., eldest son of James Daltera, mercht. ; Edward Creed, cooper, having served Thomas Creed, do.; Henry Lane, gent., eldest son of Robt. Lane, dec., be admitted freemen at large. It., £3 16s. 3!d. to William Mara, tyler, work done at ~he Mansion House, .stable and coach House ; It., 5 guineas to John Raymond, one of the Peace officers, for apprehending several felons, &c.
