17 Sep., 1790. That Philips Crosby, Esq., Commodore and Com.-in~chief on this station, y be presented with his freedom in a silver box. ~ \ Ordered, that the old materials on the ground lately taken by Mr. Shaw,. in Castle Street, be sold. Present--Mr. Mayor, Sher. Harding and Johnson; Alden. Webb, Travers, Kent, Sir John Franklin ; Mr. Izod, Willcocks, W estropp, and Sadlier, C. S. 24 Sep., 1790. That the Rt. Hon. the Earl of Corke, now in this City, be presented with X his freedom in a silver box.· Ordered, that £250 be paid to the Mayor, in addition to the quarter's ~ salary, for his extraordinary exertions, and towards recompensing him for '\ · undertaking it at the time he did; It., £11 18s. 5d. to Edmond Roche Kinselagh, Esq., expenses paid by him at the Mayoralty House; It., £12 lOs. 8d. to the Sheriffs, expenses for preserving the peace since being in office; It., £14 16s. !Od. to Richard Purcell, Esq., and Mr. Will. Alex- ander,_expenses they were put to in Mr. Purcell's Mayoralty in committing some persons who were breaking the peace to Bridewell; It., 8 guineas to the Town Clerk, so much paid the Dep. Recorder, 8 guineas paid Counc. Chatterton, and £8 19s. 9d., costs of different opinions taken; It., that the materials of the old Milk Market near the Bridewell be sold; It., £24 18s. 5d. to Robt. Reeves, Esq., his account in full; It., £2 4s. 9id. to Thomas Hardaway, his account ; It., 2 guineas to Mary Bollard, her salary; It., 5 guineas to Saml. Andrews, for drawing different plans of different parts of the City ; It., £30 to Henry Knight, Chandler, his interest in the con- cerns held from Mr. Keyes ; It., that the Mayor, the Mayor and Sheriffs Elect, Sir John Franklin, Sir Saml. Rowland, and Mr. C. S. be committee to inspect all tradesmen's and other accounts. Present-- Mr. Mayor and both Sheriffs; Alden. Webb, Travers, Purcell; Kingston, Sir. J.
