1042 100 GUINEAS TO SIR J. FRANKLIN FOR HIS TROUBLE ABOUT THE MARKETS.

It., that the two lots of ground in Seymour's Lane, leading into the New Markets, be set separately as now laid out, by public auction for the term of 99 years, the purchasers to pay a fine of 30 guineas; It., that the House and·concerns in Princes Street purchased from the Revd. Mr. Pick be set by public auction for the term of 99 years, the purchaser to pay a fine of 50 guineas; It., that such reservations respecting light, party walls, &c., as the Mayor, &c., shall think necessary for the advantage of the adjacent ground belonging to the Corporation shall be reserved on such setting ; It., 100 guineas to Sir J. Franklip. for one year, in consideration of his very great trouble in attending the building of the markets adjoining the new meat market and the improvements to be carried on in Castle Street. ~ / That the Rt. Hon. David Latouche, Governor of the Bank of Ireland, be ~~ . presented with his freedom in a Silver box. . _ It., £40 to David Roche, Esq., one year's rent of the Fowl Market and concerns adj-oining; It., £13 16s. 8d. to the Mayor, so much paid by him to John Driscoll for forty weeks' attendance and care of the New Wall, for the benefit of the navigation of the river from 4 Oct., 1788, to 12 July inst. Present -The Mayor and Sheriffs; Alden. Lawton, Sir J. Franklin j Mr. Izod, Harding, M.C., Willcocks, Coles, and Piersy, C. S. 24 July, 1789. Ordered, that the several stalls in the New Meat Market or as many as the Mayor, &c., shall think fit, be set up to be let (for selling meat only) by public auction at the mart on 6 Aug. for a term not exceeding one year; It., that Mr. Kent buy 100 Barrels of Coals; It., £2 14s. to the Mayor, so ~much paid by him for three days ringing the bells on His Majesty's happy ,' recovery; It., £7 19s. lld. to Andrew Peace, apothecary, for medicines for the Boys of S.
