GENERAL CORPORATION EXPENSES.

7 July, 1789. That the Right Revd. William Foster, Lord Bishop of Cork and Ross, be presented with his freedom in a Silver box. Ordered, that £3 38. 8d. be paid to Sher. Orpen, so much paid by him for an express for carrying up the address of the Mayor, &c., to the King to Dublin; It., 30 guineas to the Mayor, to provide an entertainment at Black Rock, in commemoration of 1 Aug.; It., that the Corporation Bond for £500, at 6 per cent., be passed to Mr. John Teulon, so much in dis- charge of the money due from the Corporation to Messrs. Hobbs and Flaherty, on account of their contracts for building the New Markets ; It., that an annuity of £15 be paid to Miss Harriet Fenton, in consideration of £150 paid the Chamberlain for the use of the Mayor, &c.; It., that the Mayor, Sheriffs, C. S., Sir J. Franklin, Mr. Willcocks, and Coles, be a com- mittee to examine the several accounts which have been given in to this board, and report ; It., that the above Committee and Town Clerk make an application to the several persons who have interest in that part of Castle Street from the centre gate of the late Market to the Exchange, and if necessary, that the commissioners for widening streets shall be sum- moned, and that such sums of money as shall be awarded by them to the several persons having interests therein, shall be paid out of the Corporation revenues. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Orpen and Maylor; Alden. La~ton, Owgan, Kellett, Franklin, S. Rowland, Kingston~ Travers, Butler, Kent; Mr. Izod, Harding, Coles, and Piersy, C. S. 17 July, 1789. Ordered, that £89 68. be paid Messrs. Shaw and Evanson for clothing for the Bellmen, Exchange Porter, Sargeants, Bailiffs, and Trumpeter, in Sept. and Oct., 1788; It., £45 lOs. to said Shaw and Evanson, for clothing supplied the boys bound apprentice from S. Stephen's Hospital, from Oct., · 1787 to Feb., 1789 ; It., £21 08. 3!d. to Tim Hughes, for iron work ; It., £6 158. 5d. to John Turner, glazier, for work done; It., £1128. 4d. to Samt. Hobbs, for slating work; It., 6s. 6}d. to said Hobbs, for work at S. Stephen's Hospital. 131
