MONEY TO BE RAISED ON ANNUITIES FOR PUBLIC WORKS.

yearly rent of £10 each, payable to Francis Woodley, Esq., and whereon he appears to have a yearly profit rent of £21 15s. be purchased from him by the Mayor, &c., for £217 lOs., being ten years' purchase~ and that said purchase-money and yearly rent shall during the remainder of the respec- tive leases be paid out of the Corporation revenues. It., That Mr. Thomas Burnett's interest in a dwelling-house in Castle Street, held by him by lease for the residue of 900 years or upwards, at a yearly rent of £10 payable to said Francis Woodley, and wherein said Burnett appears to have a profit rent of £12 15s., be purchased by the Mayor, &c., for £127 lOs., being ten years' purchase, said purchase-money and yearly rent during the remainder of the lease to he paid out of the Corporation revenue. The Common Speaker sworn to keep the secrets of the Council Whereas the Corporation of the City of Corke have occasion to raise money for Public works, and the Commo;n Council being of opinion that the raising thereof by granting annuities for the life or lives of the lender or lenders will be an advantageous mode for the Corporation to adopt. It is therefore proposed that an advertisement be published, that the Mayor, &c., will receive proposals in writing from such persons as. are willing to. advance money on an annuity or annuities, as. agreed on. Whereas this. Board is of opinion that for effectually completing th.e mar~ets intended to be built, some of the adjacent grounds and houses may be necessary to be added to that already taken, o.rdered, that the Mayor, &c., be at liberty to purchase the interests of any person or persons in any way interested. in such ~djacent grounds and houses as shall be thought necessary to be added, or take the same on lease or leases, such interests being first valued by a Jury, agreeable to the late Act.
