Mannix, for business done; It., £3 12s. O!d. to Mary Ballard, widow, half year's salary for sweeping the Mayor's office. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Thompson and Lindsay; Alden. Swete, Wrixon, Maylor, Webb, Travers, Butler, Lawton, Harding, Carleton, Bury, Baker; Mr. Browne, and Harding. 6 Nov., 1783. Richard Kellett, Esq., Mayor. Ordered, that. a Memorial in the name of the Mayor, &c., to the House of Commons for excepting the Court of Conscience out of the Bill now depend- ing, to prevent frivolous and vexatious arrests, a copy to be sent to our representatives and our Recorder, and a letter of thanks be written to Counc. Chatterton by the Clerk in the name of the Council; It., that .Ald. Harding, Sher. Shawe, Ald. Butler and Owgan be a committee to examine the tradesmen's accounts; It., £23 13s. lO!d. to Will Mahony, tyler, &c., work done; It., £6 lOs. llid. to said Mahony for work done at S.
