Westropp) three officers and nine f 'Sailors, American Prisoners; It., £4 12s. 6!d. to Thomas Harding, Burgess, -- costs of an·attachment when Sheriff, for not paying the fines he received at Assizes and Sessions into the Exchequer, they being the property of the · Corporation. S. _24: Aug., 1782. Ordered, that .£25 11s. 4d. be paid Mr. Mayor elect, Ald. Webb and Law- ton, for building a wall13 feet high, in order to enclose the Church yard and waste ground at S. Stephen's Hospital, pursuant to estimate delivered in by Francis Cottrell, Esq., to be accounted for on the loan, &c. ; It., that 10 guineas be paid to the Mayor Elect, for repairing the Market House loft, whitewashing and new glazing the same, in order to fit it up for the recep- tion of the Volunteers who are to be reviewed under Lord Charlemont, on 7 Sep. next. ; It., that 6 per cent. be paid as interest money for the sum of £100 in the hands of the Corporation, belonging to the Trustees of the Green Coat Hospital, for which they now pay but 5 per cent. That Walter Croker, merch t., having served Thomas Burnett, do. ; David How, cooper, having served Gibbs Ross, do. ; Thomas Waddington, apothe- cary, eldest son of John W., do., dec. ; John Pearse, gent., eldest son of Daniel P., merchant, dec., be admitted freemen.
