ENCROACHMENT ON THE TOWN WALL.

16 June, 1780. Whereas one Satterford hath lately made an encroachment on tlie Corpor- ation property by breaking opes in the Town Wall, and thereby making a passage to the Corporation Quay at the East side of the South Bridge, ordered, that Mr. Mayor, the two Sheriffs, and Ald. Butler, with those appointed by the C. D. H., be a committee to take legal steps to remove said encroachment. That Benjamin Jackson, apothecary, having served Andrew Peace, do. ; Arthur Warner, cooper, having served Tho. Harris and John Cole, do. ; Benson Wight, mercht., having served Thomas Burnett, do.; James Doherty, cooper, having served John Baker, do. ; John Exham, mercht., having served wm. Rickotts, do.; John Bond, grocer, having setved Danl. Knight, sen., dec., and Danl. Knight, jun.; Francis John Jeffery, cooper, having served Tho. Harris and Gibbs Ross, do.; John Beasly mercht., having served John Cuthbert, do.; Arthur Hurly, gent., eldest son of Rob'. H., do. ; Paston Gould, Esq., Lieut.-Col. H. M. 30 Reg. of Foot, now in garrison in this City, in a Silver box; Charles Crosbie, Esq., Lieut.-Col. H. M. 67 Regt. of Foot, now in the garrison, in a Silver box ; John Browne, Esq., Lieut.-Col. H. M. Marine Forces now stationed in this City, in a Silver box; Wf. Bennett, Esq., Capt. of the Lennox Man of War, now stationed in this harbour, in a Silver box; Daniel Connor, of Ballybrickan, gent.; Thomas Kift, Linen draper; Henry Terry, do.; Rowland Morrison, merch'., son of Mr. Burgess M.; Joseph Kinselagh, Jeweller; William Harding, merch'.; Thomas Hewett, chandler, be admitted freemen at large.
