Franklin, dec. ; It., that Mr. Mayor pay for the glass that was broke by the firing of the canon on 1 Jan. inst., to he re~mbursed out of the Corporation revenues; It., that a posting be put up on the Exchange for a C. D. H. to be held in the Guildhall 26 c.Tan. inst., for the election of an A.ld. of the Ward in the room of Ald. Franklin, dec.; It., £31 7s. 9d. to 1\fessrs. Izod and Busteed for candles ; It., that a pension of 2 guin~as a year, in addition to the former sum, be paid to wm. Dibbins, a poor old blind freeman; It., £6 Os. 6d to Mr. wm. Maturin for newspapers; It., that Mr. Mayor, Ald. Rowland and Webb, Mr. Browne and Willcocks be a committee to state the accounts of Skiddy's and Bretridge's Alms houses, and report. . . Present--Mr. Mayor, Sher. Busteed and Pick; Alden. Wetherall, Wrixon, Maylor, Webb, Rowland, Travers, Lawton, Owgan; Mr. Browne, Izod, Morrison, Rowland, and Willcocks. · 21 Jan., 1780. That Charles Ferguson, merch t., on payment of one pound, be admitted free. The addresses to His Maj. and the I~ord Lieut. being read and approved of, ordered, that they be engrossed, and when signed, be transmitted by Mr. Mayor to our Members in Parliament to be presented to the Lord Lieut. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Pick; Alden. Wrixon, Webb, Rowland, Travers, Owgan ; Mr. Browne, Izod, Morrison, Travers, Willcocks. 27 Jan.; 1780. Ordered, that ·Mr. Mayor, Sher. Pick, Ald. Rowland, Mr. Browne, Izod. and Willcocks be a committee to examine the Corporation debts, salaries, and pensions chargeable oil the Corporation revenue, and the amount of the revenue; It., that £6 16s. 11!d. be paid to Mr. James Barrett for coals and candles supplied the Guard house at Blac"Kpool; It., £3 13s. Sd. to WW. Stephens for painting the Mayoralty House ; It., that the old Guard house under the City Court House and the two adjoining cellars be separately set by public cant for 21 years ; It., that the Sheriffs, Ald. Travers, Mr. Morrison and Willcocks be a committee till_29 Sep. next to examine tradesmen's accounts. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Busteed and Pick; Alden.
