A LOAN O'F ARMS TO THE MILITARY SOCIETY AT PASSAGE.

50 bayonets, 50 Cartouch boxes, and 4 Halberts be lent out of the City Armoury to the Gentlemen·of the " Revenue" of this City on a Bond passed by Robert Gordon and Henry Davis:-'Esq., for £125 to the Mayor, &c., for the return of said arms in same good order; It., 40 musquets, 40 bayonets, 40 Cartouch bo~es, and 2 Halberts be lent out of the City Armory to the. Gentlemen forming a Military Society at " Passage,", on a Bond passed by - - Thos. Parsons and Michrel Parker, Esqrs., for £100 to the Mayor, &c., to return said arms in said good order. That George Ogle, Esq., M.P. for Co. Wexford, be presented with his freedom in a Silver Box, and Revd. Richd. Pigott, D.D., a freeman at large. That 100 musquets, 100 bayonets, and 100 Cartouch boxes be lent out · of the City Armory to the Gentlemen forming a Military Society in this City by the name of the " Cork Blues," on a Bond passed by Mr. Mayor, Edmond Roche Kinselagh, Es~. John J appie to the Mayor, &c., for .£250 for return of said arms in said good order. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Harding ; Alden. Millerd, Bury, Maylor, Baker, Webb, Butler, Travers; Mr. Browne, Morrison, and Izod. 2 ¥ay.-No business for want of a sufficient number.-Wm. Snowe, Clk. of Council. Present--Mr. Mayor, Sher. Lane ; Alden. Bury, Wetherall, Webb, and Mr. Browne. 5 May, 1778. . That Major Genl. Flower Mocker, Esq., Comr. in Chief for the Province of X Munster, be presented with his freedom in a Silver box. Ordered, that 50 Musquets, 50 bayonets, and 50 Cartouch boxes be lent out of the City Armory to the gentlemen of the " Blacip.._~?~~l!.~!~~\op,'': ... _,...,..,....,. on a bond passed by Mr. .Andrew Johnson and Mr. J of:iii Forster for .£125 . to the Mayor, &c., for the return of said arms in same good order; It., .£300 towards defraying the expenses of an act for regulating the Police of this City. It., 3s. 6d. a week for ~he support of .Ann Green now confined in. the Bridewell, to prosecute two fellows now confined in the City Gaol. for rapes and robberys.
