A LOAN OF ARMS TO THE MILITARY SOCIETIES OF T~IS CITY.

some of the late riots in this City ; It., 20 guineas to the Mayor, &c., to be by them expended in such manner as they shall see necessary towards the snpport of the Public Peace of this City from riotous mobbs. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Harding and Lane; Alden. Millerd, Swete, Bury, Wetherall, Maylor, Baker, Webb Travers, Butler; M~. Browne, Izod, Morrison, and Busteed, C. S. 25 March, 1778. Ordered, that a representation be sent to our Members, in the name of the Mayor, &c., to desire their strenuous endeavours in Parliament for car- rying into execution the bill for a National Militia; It., that £14 13s. 4d. be paid the Sheriffs for removing from the City Gaol to Dublin one James Debastire, on a writ of H. 0. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Harding and Lane; Alden. Westropp, Mil- lerd, Swete, Bury, W etherall, Maylor, Baker, Webb, Travers, Butler ; Mr. Browne, Morrison, and Busteed, C. S. 1 April, 1778. Ordered, that 200 musquets, 200 bayonets, 200 cartouch boxes, and 10 halberts be lent out of the City Armory to the gentlemen forming a Military X Society in this City, by the name of the "True Bl~ Assoc~ation," on a bond being passed by Edward Hoare, Esq., John Carleton, Esq., Marmaduke Peacock, Esq., Michrel Roberts Westropp, Esq., and Robert Rogers, Esq., to the Mayor, &c:, for £500 for the return of said arms when demanded in the same good order as lent ; It., that 80 Musq.uets, 80 Bayonets, 80 Cartouch boxes, and 4 Halberts be lent out of the City Armory to the gentlemen \_ x- forming a Military Society in this City by the name of the " A~gb.rm:e 1'" Society," on a bo11d passed by Mr. John Hinchcliff, Mr. Barth. Creagh, Mr. Wm. Barry, Mr. Francis Rawlins to the Mayor, .&c., for £200 for the return of said arms in the same good order; It., that 100 Musquets, 100 Bayonets, 100 Cartouch boxes, and 5 Halberts be lent out of the City Armory to the Gentlemen forming a Military Society in this City by the name of the X" U~!,t....S~ciety,~' ~n a Bo~d passed by wm. Hare, Esq., Mr. Thos. Hayes, Mr. Watkins, William Verling, and Mr. James Sadleir to the Mayor, &c., for .£250 for the return of said arms in same good order; It., that 50 Musquets,
