It., £1 12s. 6d. to Luke Pritty, for the hire of a bed and bolster for the officers bed at the Blackpool Gllard Room, for 15 weeks; It., .£12 17s. 4?id. to Roger Ouldin, mason, for work done. Present-Mr. Mayor, Sher. Harding and Lane; Alden. Wetherall, Butler, Baker ; Mr. Busteed, C. S., Izod, Browne, and Morrison. 30 Jan., 1778. Ordered, that the sum of £435 be paid to Mr. Mayor in addition to \( the Salary of £365 voted to him by the C. D. H., the whole making £800, 1\ as a testimonial for his activity and good services to this City in his office of Mayor, and an encouragement for his ·persevering therein ; It., that a subscription be opened amongst the loyal inhabitants of this City for rais- ". ,/ ing soldiers for ~is Maj. se~vice on the present e~ergency of pub~c affairs, /\ and that 300 guineas be paid out of the Corporatwn revenues, this money to be applied in bounties of 5 guineas to each able-bodied man that shall inlist, over and above the King's bounty ; a committee to be appointed by the majority of the subscribers; (the Mayor, Sheriffs, and Common Speaker to have each a vote on part of the Corporation) for the receipt and distri- bution of the Bounty money. It., that 10 guineas each be paid the Re- coruer, Dep. Recorder, Counc. Bennet, Millerd, and Hartnett, for amending the draft of Heads of a bill, and the several laws relative to this City.
