PROPEH VALUATORS UXDER THE ACT TO BE APPOIXTED.

Public Accounts, attending the due management of the Charitable foun- dations under the Government of the Corporation, and in attending to every other matter conducive to the welfare of the Corporation." Snowe do directly take the opinion. of t}le Recorder in what manner the Mayor, &c. shall proceed for establishing under the Acts of Parliament proper valuators of the houses,.cellars, &c. in this City and Suburbs, in order to raise the public money presented at the Assizes, and other public money in this City, as the Judge at last Summer Assizes (in the case of Forster against one of the Constables for collecting the public money) was of opinion the present valuations were improperly made. Present-Mr. Mayor,, Sher. Day a.nd Leycester; Alden. Philpott, Bury, Maylor, Webb, Roe, Travers, W etherall, Baker ; Mr. Izod, and Morrison. 25 April, 1777. Ordered, that £109 5s. 9d. be paid Samuel Hobbs, carpenter, in full for his account from 23 June, 1776, to 10 April inst.; It., £83 2s. 6!d. to Richd. Burt, glazier; It., £10 5s. 10!d. to said Burt, for work done at St. Stephen's Hospital; It., £43 1s. Bld. to Timothy Hughes, for ironwork; It., £28 7s. 5!d. to Wm. Mahony, tyler; It., £45 18s. 1!d. to Roger Ouldin, "X' mason ; It., £3 6s. to the Revd. Henry Sandiford, Corporation Chaplain, to buy a tippet. That John Smith, mercht., having served Wm. Cuthbert, do.; Revd. Chambre Corker, Olk., eldest son of Thos. C., Esq., dec., and Joseph Dibbs, mercht., having served Thos. Strettell, do., be admitted freemen at large. Present-Mr. l\Iayor, Sher.
